The Wickwire Tennis Tournament has benefited needy students in our community for the past 10 years, raising an average of $55,000 per year. This year, United Community Bank has once again agreed to be our primary sponsor.
Ronald F. Wickwire, our Superintendent of Schools, has again requested that I, along with Roy Thorpe from United Community Bank, co-chair the Tournament. Last year, as you probably recall, Pilots Unlimited gave the Tournament $500. At the time, you mentioned that you could probably do better than that this year, so we would like to ask you to consider a gift of $1,000. As we have done in previous years, we'll be happy to recognize your contribution in the program and to announce your participation during the Tournament itself.
